An incident that changed my life.

There is no control over life and fate. Mankind is known as a slave of destiny. We react, work, talk and perform tasks according to fate. We never know where destiny can take us. The second most important factor that comes after hard work and great enthusiasm towards work is the chance backed up by destiny. It is luck that counts after ability. Fortunately, I am one of those lucky people who have been blessed a great favor from luck in order to reach my heights of success. My success is backed up by my skills as well as luck. This wouldn’t have been possible if that sudden incident didn’t happen. My life changed within seconds after that incident occurred.

I was a member of a music band in London. I am blessed with a great source of knowledge in music. I had an ordinary job in the band which was to work under the lead singer of the band. I helped him with creating the background music and chorus. We were the rising stars of London after giving a few successful hit concerts and shows. It was 14th Dec 2004, and we were on one of our biggest concerts ever. The show was moving very smooth and it was very successful the halfway until an interruption occurred. The lead singer of our band got attacked by a sudden mind stroke. He was not able to sing and had to stop in between the concert. The interruption caused the audience to react harshly. They threw stuffs on the stage. It could have ruin all the image which we had built in the past few years. This failure could destroy everything. All our preparations could have gone in vain. Suddenly, one of my team member forced me to continue the song which the lead singer had been singing. Despite refusing, I had to face the audience. My team members had confidence on me. They trust me and forced me to sing. I gave all my efforts and continued the show. my voice made the audience groove to it. I rocked the stage. The hidden talent of mine showed up that day. I was proven as a great

As the 40’s came to an end, and the US finished with World War II, Americans had the time and energy to put their focus in other areas, such as music, poetry, film, and fashion. The biggest influence on the expansion of these arts is the television. With more and more americans being able to afford televisions, it became much easier to spread ideals and movements. I wanted to be like all my other friends and play the clarinet, but instead I was chosen to play the flute. I did not understand at first why Mr. Peirce wanted me to play the flute, I thought it was complicated and would be difficult to function. We started by fingering and playing one note at a time repeatedly until each note was well played. Next, we started playing notes together to make sure we knew how to go from one to the other smoothly. Lastly, we learned scales, also known as playing the letters of the staff up then down. Soon after having these lessons of learning how to finger the notes and how to correctly blow in my mouth piece, I realized it was much easier then it looked. After a year, I was moved into the high school band. There were a small number of flutes, so we had to play very loud. We started by learning small songs. By playing a new song every day, I started to memorize the keys which made playing much easier. As the months passed Mr. Peirce placed a music piece in front of us known as “Bella’s Lullaby”. I was then ecstatic! Bella’s Lullaby was the piece played in one of my favorite movies, Twilight. It took us weeks to learn and another to perfect. After learning the piece I finally knew what it felt like to hear music speak. The piece was full of emotion including a lot of crescendo and decrescendo. Meanwhile, after finishing the song, Mr. Peirce thought that it should be played amongst an audience. We were to invite all our family and friends to what we called a concert. After playing the piece, along with other small pieces that we learned, we were given a round of applause. That night, Mr. Peirce awarded me with the “Most Improved…

Last summer was the first time I accepted that fate controls our lives. It was the second week of summer and one night I was at home watching TV with my family and all of a sudden a feeling washed over me that something bad was about to happen. After five minutes I was experiencing the worst pain in my life. Passing out on our kitchen floor, my parents immediately called an ambulance. Waking up in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm terrified me. I still recall my mother sitting by my side whispering to me that everything was going to be okay. After a little while the doctor came into my room and started to explain that my appendix had about an hour before bursting and that they had to perform an emergency operation to remove it. What the doctor explained was going to be a “simple procedure” could have ended my life. During the surgery there were complications resulting in me lost more blood than I should have done. My fate could have been decided right then and there but I got lucky. Thankfully I woke up in a okay condition. Coming home from the hospital in an absurd amount of pain, having to rest for about two months and not being able to move around, see my friends or participate in any family activities made last summer almost unbearable. However the incident helped me realize that no matter how much I want to change my fate it…
