The Rolling Stones were a big part of early Rock N’ Roll. They pushed the envelope more than any other band of their time. Paint it black which was released in 1966 is a very good example of the Rolling Stones not caring attitude. The Stones experimented a lot with different instruments, and gave their music a distinct sound.…

Another example of this trend is the Hangover Trilogy. The Hangover was released on Memorial Day weekend of 2009 to stellar reviews and a 44 million dollar opening weekend haul. In fact, the film beat out Warner Brother’s expectations for the weekend and beat out Disney/Pixar’s Up and Universal’s adaption of Land of the Lost for #1. (Fritz, 2015) The Audience reaction was through the roof, at 79% fueling an average of 88 people per opening weekend screening (King,2014). • 4 Pages

Rockabilly is one of the oldest styles of rock and roll. It blends rock and roll with the music genre of bluegrass and country music, with the rhythm of blues music. It can be known for “hillbilly” music, but with the influence it has on today's music, it would not be labeled for “hillbillies”, and yet it had the beat of swing. In the book, “The Appearance of the Electric Bass Guitar: A Rockabilly Perspective” written by Roy C. Brewer, He writes about the different basses that were used in rockabilly which gave the genres sound. He explains how in the early 1950s, rockabilly was popular due to the fact they were one of the first genres to introduce rock…

When I drum I lose track of time, the different types of rudiments put together in all different orders makes me happy. When I try to get faster at drumming I play to all sorts of songs. I’ll get lost for hours drumming. Over time I hope to join some of the best marching groups in DCI and WGI. I hope to join groups like Matrix, Phantom Regiment, or Blue Coats. When I want to learn more I’ll ask people like Mr.Reynolds or Dave our percussion instructors. My favorite part about drumming is how with the right touch you can make a bunch of loud noises and crashes become into beautiful music. I would like to learn how to play the actual drum set instead of just the marching snare. Over my marching band career I played lot of different pieces and…

Rock and roll is a genre of popular music that originated and evolved in the United States during the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily from a combination of predominantly African-American genres such as blues, boogie woogie, jump blues, jazz, and gospel music, together with Western swing and country music. Because of Hollywood films, pregnancy is now looked as beautiful and cute, but it also shows our fear of pregnancy.…
