In the novel “Persuasion” by Jane Austen, one thing that rules whole novel is family and relationship. This novel presents the domestic model of family. In the first chapter, the author introduced us the with Elliot family which consisted of Sir Walter Elliot who is baronet of Kellynch Hall, Lady Elliot who died thirteen years ago and their three daughters Elizabeth, Anne and Mary. Sir Walter is too conscious about his looks and “vanity in person and situation” is everything for him. The eldest daughter Elizabeth is beautiful, yet in vain like Sir Walter. The main character Anne Elliot who is the middle daughter of Sir Walter Elliot fell in love with Wentworth at the age of nineteen but due to the lack of any fortune and title.
