Queen Esther was a Jew who was married to a gentile. That is itself presents an awkward scenario since Jews thought of Gentiles as dogs and were not to have any associations. And yet, God’s will, God’s plan was to use this wise Jewish woman to fulfill His plan to protect His chosen people from Haman’s plan to completely annihilate the people of Israel, and more specifically, the bloodline of Jesus Christ.
The southern kingdom, (Judah and Benjamin), was taken captive by King Nebuchadnezzar who was later defeated by the Persians. God elevates Esther from being a maiden to replacing Vashti as queen (Esther 2:17-22 KJV).
