In the novel Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, T.J. and Stacey’s friendship affects decisions that Stacey makes in Chapter 7. Stacey and T.J. are to very different people. T.J. makes a lot of bad decisions. Stacy just lets him get away with them. For example, T.J. had cheated on a test. He did this because he had cheat notes. When the teacher walked by he threw Stacy the notes. So when the teacher came by she saw that Stacy had the notes. When she found out that Stacy had the notes she whipped him in front of the whole class. He took all of the blame. T.J. didn’t do anything about it either. I think that Stacy lets T.J. get away with so much because he feels like if he doesn’t do things with T.J. that T.J. will be mean to him. Stacy got a jacket
