The audience’s reaction to Romeo and Juliet is like a cliff hanger because they have to keep their marriage a secret, which caused a lot of tension between them both and sooner or later they are going to have enough. Friar John wasn’t able to get the letter delivered to Romeo, so Romeo received different news from Balthazar. When Romeo got to the tomb Paris was out there and Romeo ended up killing him. When he saw that Juliet dead he thought he had nothing else to live for so he killed himself. Juliet awoke to find dead on the floor, and couldn’t bare to live without him so she killed herself as well. When the towers were hit everybody was shocked, many people started to “turn to their faith” and started to pray for the people in the towers. Nobody was sure what was going on, the city was in “chaos” because they were evacuating everybody as fast as they could in order to reduce the deaths of people. Since both tragedies were big everyone was shocked, from the Capulets to everyone around the country was shocked. They just wanted to figure out what they could do to help one another.
In the same way, after all of the deaths in Romeo and Juliet the two families made peace due to the deaths of their kids. In the book there was about five deaths. If the two families wouldn’t have had hated each other than Romeo and Juliet would have still been alive and same goes with Paris, Mercutio, and Tybalt. During the week after the attack the country started to see who was responsible for what had happened. Everyone did as much as they could so they could comfort those who have lost family member or just because it was such a big lost.
