The set-up has trees near the back of the stage due to the shape of how the Globe Theatre was built, an octagon shape. As can be seen in the Globe Theatre, the audience are basically everywhere in the theatre. In addition, the blueprint shows the balcony and the entrance of the gate for this scene. As shown, the gate is placed on the left side of the stage and near the balcony, which will be used in this scene. This is from the audience perspective of view. This is because of the nurse and Peter entering from the gate and then Juliet and the nurse will meet up in the middle of the stage and go upstairs. However, in this scene, natural lights will be used because in William Shakespeare’s time, they would do plays in the early afternoon, roughly around two in the evening. Also, there were artificial lightings, but it was not necessary. In fact, additional scenery that are used were curtains. The curtains were used in between scenes. It help change the scenes, just not scene G, but others
too. In any event of the plays casted, the audience are usually placed at the top starting with the wealthy people to the lower class. In brief information, there are three floors of seats and also a fourth floor. The fourth floor has no seats, people who watched the plays had to stand. As you can tell, in William Shakespeare’s day, the weathly people pays extra to sit at the third floor, not because they are rich, but it makes them feel powerful because they are looking down at the lower class. In addition, the finnacial supporter of the show are allowed to sit at the third floor. Likewise, the the second floor is the same and the first floor is for the lower class. Comparing the seating chart, the third floor does not have a good view.
