1. What is the meaning of the passage you selected and what was happening in the scene at the time it was said? This passage, Romeo expresses his love for Juliet. Here, in the famous balcony scene, Romeo and Juliet reveal their love to each other, and at Juliet's suggestion, they plan to marry. As Romeo stands in the shadows, he looks to the balcony and compares Juliet to the sun. “It is the east and Juliet is the sun”. Comparing her to the sun as Juliet is bright just as the sun. Romeo is there underneath the balcony at night as he came back for her after the ball because he fell in love with her that much. Romeo says thing such as:
“As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven”
“See, how she leans her hands upon her cheeks”

This causes both Romeo and Juliet to do anything to try to be together. This also causes more hatred between both families.
Positive and Negative Impact
Positive:
-The love between both Romeo and Juliet can possibly bring both the Montague and Capulet families together.
-Romeo and Juliet can possibly live together
Negative:
-The hatred between both families can increase
-Both Romeo and Juliet might not be able to be together again.
