Fate played a role when Romeo was asked by a servant to read the invite to Juliet's party, but he had a hard time deciding whether to go to the party or not. “Servant: God gi’ go-den. I pray, sir, can you read?... Romeo: Stay fellow; I can read…(192).” The servant could have went up to anyone but it had to be Romeo. He could have stopped reading when he saw the word Capulet but he kept reading. “ Romeo: And we mean well in going to this Masque: But ‘tis no wit to go… I fear, too early: for my mind misgives…(198-200)” Romeo thinks of not going to the party because of his dream, but goes anyways. Fate and decisions come together in the play to control Romeo and Juliet’s lives.

They play roles all over in the play but the most important of them are when Romeo was asked by a servant to read the invite to Juliet's party, but he had a hard time deciding whether to go or not; when it made Romeo and Juliet fall in love but they both decided to get married even though they knew their parents were enemies; Romeo killing himself just before Juliet woke up was fate, but Juliet could have lived, yet she decided to kill herself because life would have been very miserable; and lastly when Juliet was married to Romeo and her parents were forcing her to marry the Prince and she could have stayed, or ran away with Romeo. We should take a look at what happened to these characters because of their bad decisions led to their deaths, and we should think before jumping to conclusions, unlike them. We need to be aware of the decisions we make and think about them, instead of making random
