Romeo And Juliet Figurative Language Essay
Following the party of the Capulet's, Romeo discovers that his one and only love is the daughter of the Capulet! After finding this out he alongside with Tybalt and Mercutio exit the Capulet’s party. However, Romeo is still very interested in seeing Juliet. As a result he sneaks off and climbs into the Capulet Orchard. In this quote, Romeo complains about Mercutio saying it’s easy for someone to joke about love if they've never been hurt by love before. The use the metaphor such as: “Juliet is the sun” that he refers to demonstrates Romeo’s feelings and love of Juliet. This quote complements her beauty by comparing her to a sunrise. Romeo also compliments her again by saying “Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon(another metaphor.)”
