Romeo And Juliet's Fate

In the play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo implies that he does not have complete control over his fate: “my mind misgives some consequence yet hanging in the stars shall bitterly begin his fearful date with this night’s revels and expire the term of a despised life, closed in my breast by some vile forfeit of untimely death. But he that hath the steerage of my course direct my sail!” (Act 1 scene 4). Fate is a series of events that develop beyond a person’s control.

A person ultimately controls their fate if they are willing to put the work and the effort to control their own life.
