Romeo and ruliet
moliere one said "too great haste leads us to error". this means that rushing leads to mistakes.this quote is shown to be true in the play romeo and juliet by william shakespear and oesious the king by sophocles ;using conflict and chactorizaion.

charactors in romeo and juliet experienced conflict.one example of internal conflict is when romeo and juliet rushed the marrage while there was a fude between there families, and they needed to make a decision within themselves on weather or not to proceed. This created many unexpected problems due to there rushed relationship.another example is when romeo killed tybalt. romeo instead of being reasonable and letting the king take care the situation,Romeo took it upon himself to kill tybalt. finally the last conflict is the internal conflict juliet as on weather or not to kill herself

in romeo and juliet the characters had characteristics that lead them to rush situations and make mistakes along the way.for example romeo being very wheverly and in love with rosoline then quickly changed to juliet created confusion with everbody else because they thought romeo loved rosiline.another example when capulet became exstreamly angy at juliet because she refused to mary paris,he immediately got angy and told julet that she has to get married to paris or else ,shes dead to him.this deminstates how capulet is impolsive;as he ats on impolse and says things that he wouldnt say normally. the final example is when romeo killed paris.paris rushing to conclusion thought romeo was in the tomb to defile julliet ,which was not the case and ended tragicly for him.these examples show how the charactors in romeo and juliet acted on impole and those impolses lead to mistakes.

throughout the story Oedipus there were many conflicts .the first example was oedipus going to the orical dicovering his fate, which created internal conflict on weather to lead his homeland or not.another example is the man vs man conflict where Oedipus killed the guy where the 3 roads meet which later we learned was his father. final conflict was the man vs the man conflict of Oedipus killing this sphinx which set him on the right track to fulfill his destiny. These are the many conflict of Oedipus.

In Oedipus the king the charactor had charactoristists that lead them to rush situations and make mistakes along the way.for example, oedipus creating the curse without thing of all the possibilities .the next example is when oedipuses wife decided to end her life which shows that In tougher situation she'd rather avoid the situation no mater the consciences.finally there was the Oedipus tabbing his eyes out witch shows that Oedipus deeply believes in justic and believes he has committed a very large crime and needs to pay the price.this show that the characters in Oedipus had characteristics that lead them to rush situations and make mistakes.

This is how the quote "to great haste leads us to error " relates throughout the story oedipus the king and Romeo and Juliet.

A prime example of this would be Friar Lawrence. Friar Lawrence is arguably a central figure within the play. When Friar Lawrence joins Romeo and Juliet in holy matrimony, in the hopes that; "For this alliance may so happy prove / To turn your households' rancour to pure love. (Act II, Scene III, Line 92-91)". Friar Lawrence only chides the couple to be careful, instead of enforcing caution, simply stating that; "These violent delights have violent ends, / And in their triumph die like fire and power, / Which as the kiss consume. The sweetest honey / Is loathsome in his own deliciousness, / And in the taste confounds the appetite. / Therefore love moderately, love long doth so; / Too swift arrives as tardy slow. (Act II, Scene VI, Line 9-15)". Again this occurs when Friar Lawrence advises Romeo to "Ascend to her (Juliet's) chamber, hence and comfort her; / But look thou stay not till the Watch be set. (Act III, Scene III, Line 147-148)". Later on in the play, Friar Lawrence's inattention to detail leads to Romeo death. Friar Lawrence, having given Juliet a sleeping potion without considering the possibility of failure in informing Romeo of the death-guise upon Juliet. Surely, if Friar Lawrence had considered all options, he may have taken more caution and employed more brothers in the task of informing Romeo. The unthoughtfully considered schemes led to many…

The play “Romeo and Juliet” is a devastating love story. In only a matter of few days, to be precise 5 days, unfortunate events unfold. The feud between the Capulets and Montagues, one that no-one knows or what started the feud, caused violence and hatred among the citizens of Verona. Nonetheless, there are people whose actions help lead to the tragic fate of the star-cross lovers and other unnecessary people. People who don’t think twice of their actions until after the consequences. Maybe, just an inference, if they just thought about their actions, the play may have had a different ending.…

The play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare presents the moral and social shaping of Romeo’s personality. Through the text Romeo continuously makes illogical decisions that all lead to his death. Romeo’s down fall is a result of irrational and impulsive behaviour he displayed throughout the text. This is conveyed when Romeo consumed in anger killed Tybalt, when Romeo fought with Paris without knowing who he was fighting and when Romeo killed himself not realizing Juliet was still alive. This is some of the proof in the text of Romeo’s impulsiveness.…

The choices we make today and the choices we make around others could affect them in ways that are not expected. William Shakespeare's expertise as a literary genius does not come naturally, for his theatrical masterpieces as a playwright entwine flawless craft with transcendent themes. In Shakespeare’s play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the causes of Romeo and Juliet’s death are caused by the sophomoric actions that they thought were the logical action to take, but their deaths were helped caused by others. Mercutio, the nurse, and Friar Laurence all make decisions that cause outcomes not expected by them like Mercutio by forcing Romeo to go to the party, the Nurse by betraying Juliet, and the Friar by secretly marring the two. William Shakespeare’s tragedy of two star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families, entails a variety of conflicting figurative language. Sound devices, imagery, juxtaposition, oxymorons, and other figurative language examples all assist in conveying the theme that life is paradoxical, in Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. A supreme example of this theme, could be Friar Lawrence’s opening lines, “The gray-eyed morn smiles on the frowning night, / Check’ring the eastern clouds with streaks of light; / And flecked darkness like a drunkard reels / From forth day’s path and Titan’s burning wheels.” (II.iii.1-4) Throughout Act I and Act II, Shakespeare juxtaposes the characters of Romeo and Juliet to develop the theme of the paradoxical nature of life.…
