Ronald Reagan's Political Career

Ronald Reagan was elected the 40th president of the United States, coming from two uneducated parents that encouraged him to make the most out of his life. Ronald went from the radio station to the main stage becoming a successful actor; however later in life he took a major interest in politics. (BEINART, PETER,RONALD REAGAN, 2010). This major interest took him to the governors chair of California’s, to becoming one of the talked about presidents in the U.S. Ronald Reagan became the 40th president of the United States serving from 1981 to 1989. During his term he wanted to see restoration, and peace; he also believed that he achieved and satisfied his duties to makes his program known as the Reagan Revolution succeed and continue throughout
Americas history. President Reagan made several economic policies to stabilize inflation and reduce the unemployment rate however; these goals are not limit to many. This paper will inform readers about one of the most known and talked about presidents in America, while the president was viewed to some as successful and brilliant some believe that he was the president that help to create the destruction for America. February 6, 1911, Ronald Wilson Reagan was born in Tampico, Illinois to father John Edward, and mother Nellie Wilson. His father was a shoe store owner with a grade school level education, who died from alcoholism. His mother was a house wife, who encouraged her son to be whatever he wanted to be. Reagan also had an older brother named Neil Reagan, who with Reagan and his parents lived in a small rural apartment. Later in life he married his first wife was Jane Wyman a famous actress, the couple had two kids. After their divorce in 1948, Reagan married again in 1952 to Nancy Davis. Davis was also another actress and they have two kids as well. Reagan had a total of four kids Maureen, Michael, Patricia, and Ronald. (Gilbert, Robert E., no.5. 2008)
