Always Be Cautious
One hot summer evening in June, my family and I decided to go on a camping trip to Bluestone State Park. We would be staying in a cabin, out in the middle of the woods in the park, for a whole full week. During this week, my family and I would be doing various things such as hiking, fishing, biking, and spending time on the lake. I had never been this excited to go on a trip with my family. The last place we went, Myrtle Beach, I ended up deathly sick and had to go to the hospital. However, I knew this trip was going to be amazing. The sun was shining, it was not too hot or too cold, and it was not muddy or too dry. My sister, Holly, who is not a big fan on going camping, was actually excited to go, for once, even though she was not over her sickness. We would be leaving around six in the morning and neither one of us could sleep. What in the world was we supposed to do this late at night. It was a little over three hours away, and there are lots of activities to do before we got there.
We finally made it to Hinton, West Virginia, home of Bluestone State Park. It felt weird not being at home, surrounded by my pets, and loud noises throughout the night. We checked in at the office once we arrived to the campgrounds and headed for the cabins. It felt amazing to get out of the area I was used to and spend time with my family, doing something we loved. I was so excited to see the cabin and the deer wondering out in the tall, grassy fields. It was around seven and it was starting to get dark so we decided to grill some hamburgers and hope that no wild animals would come and try to have dinner with us. Before we knew it, bedtime was just around the corner. The next morning at the breakfast table, I suggested going down to the lake and fishing instead of going hiking considering it was nice and warm outside.
