Royal Australian Navy's SMART Goal Framework
The Royal Australian Navy uses the SMART goal framework for the setting the mentee’s goals and development plan. The development plan is defined by the individual’s developmental needs, goal theory specified that participants which were given specific challenging goals consistently out- performed those who were given vague, less challenging goals by (Latham and Locke, 1983, as cited by MacLeod, 2012, p. 68 - 69 ).
