I enjoyed researching about her and get to know more of her accomplishment and her childhood. Ruby Bridges was born on September 8, 1954 in Tylertown Mississippi. Ruby’s parents were sharecroppers. Ruby has a sister and two younger brothers. When they had moved to New Orleans her Dad became a gas station worker and her Mom worked night shift. During the summer her and her family would go to the farm her parents use to work at. Ruby was not the only child in the farm, her Mom’s nieces and nephews also worked there.
