Most humans need a routine to survive. Wake up, go through your day whether you go to work or school and at the end of the day go back to bed so that you can start that routine all over again. If that routine is broken humans will usually adapt just like the British boys in Lord of the Flies adapting to their uncivilized environment and the humans in Wall-E adapting to the lazy environment. The two groups of humans both drastically change but the British boys turn back to their ancestors’ roots with savage like behavior and the humans on the space ship show the future where we are completely dependent on technology.…

Being able to adapt in life is an important skill as people are faced with having to change daily. However, some individuals do not have the skills required to adapt, or they have been through traumatic experiences that inhibit that ability to adapt. Shoba and Shukumar in the story “A Temporary Matter” are faced with a horrific ordeal which forces them to adapt to new life, this however, does not turn out the way they had planned and they eventually split up from not being able to fully adapt and accept the changes “they’d been through enough” and Shoba “needed some time alone”, their relationship eventually dissolves. A similar thing happened to Mrs Sen in “Mrs Sen’s.” She was forced to adapt to a new country and learn their way of life, this although, proves to be too difficult for Mrs Sen as she was unable to successfully learn how to drive “I hate it. I hate driving. I won’t go on.” Mrs Sen just ends up frustrated and defeated. Her main challenge was her inability to adapt to a new culture as she was living in her past, constantly trying to mix the two cultures together. This turns out unsuccessful as well as she finds people in her new home, treat her as if she was strange, “an old woman on the bus kept watching them” the people around Mrs Sen felt uncomfortable at times which made it even more difficult for Mrs Sen to adapt and change to the new community and…

Adaptation- this principle concerns the transactions between person and environment. This is a two-way process; individuals cope with the constraints or demands of an environment and environments adapt to their members. While starting a new job in order to adapt, you probably learned new skills without losing your unique identity. Some jobs require changes in appearance, changes in relating to people, or changes in schedules. Environments also adapt to their members. Think about the changes in a family triggered by such events…
Our character is defined by what we do, not what we believe or say and how we determine character is by assessing our individual value and moral systems with the laws of life. Now these laws of life are just simply principles we live by including respect, honor, honesty, fairness, etc. and whichever we choose to value more determines the extent of our character. I believe that cooperation is one of the more important values because it involves working in unison for a common goal or purpose to achieve more together than alone. It's successful because it takes individual differences and morphs them into something more creative. It's essential in everyday life, ecosystems, and getting further in life to achieve higher success.…

Admire is a very strong word or meaning. Admire means to regard (an object, quality, or person) with respect or warm approval or to look at with pleasure. I have many people I admire but I think the one that I admire the most is probably my grandmother. My grandmother is currently living in St.Kitts and is 61 years old. In the year of 2008 my grandmother got a stroke which she is recovering from right now. Three qualities that I admire from is that she is strong, never gives up and wants to see me have an education and come out to be something good.…
