loating around with King and Straub, we came across the corpse of one of the Fisherman's victims: Irma Freneau, a young girl. There was a dog trying to get her severed foot out of her sneaker so it could eat it. Irma's leg was cut off at the hip and was nowhere to be found. She appeared to have been strangled to death and then dismembered. The killer discarded her foot as the leg was the only thing he needed. I'm still not sure why he needed her leg, or who he is for that matter, but the description of the place she was found in gave me goosebumps, The police are still trying to find out who the Fisherman is and trying to catch him while parents of small children grow more and more…

This is my cat ‘‘Buttercup’’. You might wonder: Why that name? Well, when I founded him, it was unavoidable to match his muddy yellow coat with the bright flower. He had a mashed-in nose, half of one ear missing and eyes the color of rotting squash. According to my older sister, Katniss, Buttercup was the world’s ugliest cat but it did not matter, because I knew that in the bottom of her heart she was starting to love him. Besides, he was a great help at home, for he was a born mouser. So, we did not have vermin problems anymore. Furthermore, Buttercup was very special for me; he made me feel safe when I had nightmares during the…

I watched on in envy as the models continued to pose halfway in the water, their hair wet from the previous underwater shoot. I sighed as one of them made their way to the other side of the beach on break. How I wished I could be on break right now. The sun was so hot, and the weather was too humid. Off all days to wear denim shorts and long-sleeved t-shirt. I rolled up the damp cloth clinging to my arms as a rare, cool breeze came by, blowing ever so slightly at my hair. I loved how the breeze felt against my burning skin.…
