The song “Kevin by Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, and Leon Bridges, was in my opinion incredibly gloomy. First finding out that Kevin and Macklemore where drug addict was the first shocker. The song, per se did not declare Macklemore as an addict, but the context in the song told otherwise. Also it was sad finding out that Kevin died from overdose most likely, while Macklemore is still alive to see a friend die and from the song this was not the first or last death of a friend he would see. Now with friends that were with him dying from most likely drug abuse, Macklemore created for those who have a drug addiction so one could suffer the same pain he is feeling.
