Introduction
1. Introduction
1. The objectives of this Safety Manual are to assure that all necessary safety precautions are taken in order to protect the lives and health of the employees and other persons involved on site; to prevent the damage of property, materials, supplies and equipment; and to avoid interruptions to site operations.
2. The manual as presented here is not intended to replace or modify the requirements of the Construction Safety Laws/Regulations/Standards and the corporate policy, it is rather ment to indicate the general approach towards safety that is to be adopted, and to clearly define each individuals responsibility in terms of safety on site.
3. It is the Site Supervisor, as ultimate organizer and man-in-control for all site operations, who is legally responsible for the safety of all persons and works, and who is responsible for safety and adherence to the Safety Laws/Regulations/Standards. This does not replace the obligation of others to advise and take
