These include from working together with the security team and janitors to maintain the store to its high standards, to working with outside charities for our community programmes. In building these relationships up I have gain confidence in rising to challenges knowing I have the supportive team there to help me work collaboratively. Such can be demonstrated in working with our maintenance contractors to improve the carpark which I felt had come to a condition of a threat to health and safety. Working on the busiest day of the year during the Christmas period, the store had one of its two baler systems which compacted cardboard go down and wasn’t going to be fixed until after Christmas. This was a major operational impact to the warehouse and allowed stockpiles of cardboard to mount.
