St. Catherine of Siena "I desire, O Lord, to live here always conformed to your passion, and to find pain and suffering my repose and delight." Saint Catherine of Siena was born was March 25, 1347 and died on April 29, 1380. She was canonized on July 1341 by Pope Pius II. The date of her feast is on April 29th. Saint Catherine of Siena is the patron saint against fire, bodily ills, illnesses, miscarriages, and sexual temptations, and she is also the patron saint for firefighters, nurses, and sick people. She was born in Siena, Tuscany. She spent her life in Italy and also died in Italy. James Benincasa and Lapa Piagenti, who are her parents, were her only family members. Something that she did was she liberally assisted the poor, served the sick, and comforted the afflicted and prisoners. She started from age twelve and went on until she died at thirty-three years old. An interesting fact about her was she was a person hired into a family for a purpose. Another interesting fact was she didn't talk to anyone but to god and her confessor for three years. Last interesting fact about Saint Catherine of Siena is she dressed and served and old women named Tocca.
Saint Catherine of Siena helped the church by working on bringing the real pope back to Rome. She occupied most of her time helping the poor. She changed the sinners, and made enemies has friends by praying more than she did by her words. People who didn't believe in god or were against her beliefs were changed by just her speaking out about her religion and her prayers to god. This saint helps me with my own faith by believing in god. Enemies can change and not be enemies anymore with just the prayer of
