The horror of this tiny baby being clasped in the jaws of a wild animal and dragged from her bed and taken off into the night to be eaten, was ignored, while the scientists, police and lawyers squabbled over her bloodstained clothing. Even her mother's protest during the trial that "this is not some object we're talking about. It's my little girl." elicited no signs of remorse from her accusers. Little Azaria was never given a real funeral and there is no gravesite at which people can kneel and pay their respects. Chief priests and city elders of Jerusalem brought Jesus before Pilate to be trialed. Pilate ask Jesus if He was the King of the Jews and Jesus responded that he was. Jesus did not reply to any charge accused against Him and this amazed Pilate. Pilate followed the customs of the feast to release a single prisoner chosen by the crowd if they chose to condemn Jesus. The prisoner chosen was a man named Barabbas, a notorious criminal. Pilate asked the crowd which man they wanted set free: Jesus or Barabbas. The chief priests and elders had convinced the crowd to set Barabbas free and to execute Jesus, so when Pilate asked the question of who should be set free the crowd chose Barabbas. Pilate then asked what should he do to Jesus and the crowd responded with the sentence of crucifixion. Pilate could not find one thing wrong with Jesus or what he had done. Pilate found Jesus innocent and tried many times to convince the Jews that Jesus had done no harm. The crowd then said to Pilate that if he were to let the man go, then he would be no friend of Caesar because if Jesus claims to be a king then He opposes Caesar. After hearing this Pilate became fearful and handed Jesus over to the Jews to be crucified. Pilate washed his hands to show the crowd that he was innocent of this man's death. The crowd took full responsibility for Jesus' death and even put it on their children as well. Pilate…

Cecilia. Cecilia is considered a martyr as she surrendered her heart and soul to Jesus Christ before marriage, once she was executed, her home was turned into a church as they realized that she had performed several miracles. A few years after her death, several artist began replicating art paintings of her, amongst these paintings are the multiple inclusions of broken instruments. It is said that the multiple images of her holding instruments are a representation of her love for music. In the iconography of the cathedral, St. Cecilia is officially represented as the icon of music. The cathedral states that Cecilia sang to God “only with her heart,” through the beauty of her voice, she influenced many who saw her as a goddess of music. St. Cecilia is one of the first female figures who sang amongst males and was recorded through art and paintings, therefore breaking the stereotypes of women in music (Lucket 1972: 21-25). In regards to La Santa Cecilia, many similarities can be drawn from the previous example. The band is lead by a female singer and defies multiple stereotypes while addressing current issues in the community. La Santa Cecilia brings consciousness of community issues through music, and does so by relying in their cultural traditions, in this case, regarding the aspect of the traditional catholic church as they rely on St. Cecilia to guide them through their musical…
