Looking at primary sources, the 2004 movie, The Alamo was historically accurate. Firstly, the scene of Santa Anna establishing that no colonists should survive is portrayed on point - the following quote was avenged directly into the movie. Bowie was sick in bed and not expected to live, but as the victorious Mexicans entered his room, he killed two of them with his pistols before they pierced him through with their sabres.” (5) And finally,…

These additional factors provide the heart an education through relationships, perspectives, and application to daily life. As time progresses, education becomes more valued in society. For example, education typically is required in order to be employed. Considering the importance of education in society, the means for education vary in order to fit unique individuals. The varieties are clearly seen in college education. Each college has a distinct atmosphere because of the faculty, academics, surrounding inhibition, and moral beliefs.…

Marquette is ranked No. 63 by high school and private independent school guidance counselors in 2012. It’s located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marquette is known for its outstanding academics, and varying majors. Additionally, Marquette is a Catholic Jesuit college, which means there are a lot of spiritual bases in finding God in everything that is done. This means in education we can find some inspiration to do better and be better, no matter what is one’s faith or traditions; the common ground for almost everything is education and its importance. With a degree from Marquette comes a lot of bragging rights, and is highly looked upon. When applying for a job Marquette stands out on a resume over most universities and colleges. Marquette is one the best universities offered in Wisconsin besides UW Madison. I believe I would like to further my first class education with Marquette because of great programs offered and the greater spiritual background received with a degree.…

Through the use of the reflective perspective and literary techniques, the text is able to convey key ideas in relation to acceptance and fulfilment.…

I am a police officer and more times than not, I find myself dealing with school ages kids. Usually they range between the ages of 13-18. Most of the time I feel like a counselor because when we deal with juveniles, the juvenile judicial system has tied our hands in what they will incarcerate a juvenile for, so we usually give them a stern talking to and release them back to the custody of their parents. I also work closely with the middle and high school administrators. Sometimes we are in the schools dealing with problems or sometimes we take kids back to school that we find skipping class. This is why I chose to write this discussion board entry on the ethics of school counselors.…
