Salvage The Bones Analysis

Salvage the Bones is a family’s story of survival. The Batiste family endures poverty, sexual abuse, and violence and they are still in the aftermath of the mother’s death. Days before Hurricane Katrina makes landfall in their small town of Bois Sauvage, Mississippi, each characters deals with their own personal problems. As the father readies for the storm, knowing that this storm will be catastrophic, each of his four children are going around trying to cope and deal with their own struggles.
