YOU MUST HAVE A SALVATION PLAN

Knowing in advance how you will show a person biblically to obtain salvation in Christ will give you more confidence in sharing your faith in the Lord. Everyone should have more than one salvation plan for sharing their faith. Although you will use only one plan at any given time when sharing your faith, the reason for knowing more than one plan is that you may have to witness to the same person more than once before he or she accepts Christ. However, you should not try to learn a second salvation plan until you have used and mastered the first plan. This will take six months to a year of continually witnessing to people.

Salvation plans should be memorized by soul winners. You memorize the points of the plan and the scriptures used in the plan. The reason is that there will be some occasions when you are not able to use the Bible, but you can still share your faith. At the conclusion of sharing any plan, the goal is to get the person to make a decision to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. You should say something like, “Are you willing to pray and receive Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord and Savior?” I

It is easier to use a salvation plan with all the verses from the same book of the Bible. Some of the books you can use for this purpose are: Romans, Ephesians, John, 1 John, Acts, Isaiah, etc. I have given two salvation plans to start off with below.

A SALVATION PLAN USING JOHN 3:16

First, you or the unsaved person should read the scripture aloud for each point in the plan. After the scripture has been read, you explain the point in the plan from the scripture to the unsaved person.

1. GOD’S PART: “For God so loved the world”

2. JESUS’S PART (ALSO, WHO JESUS IS) “That he gave his only begotten son”

3. YOUR PART: “That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish”

4. RECEIVE CHRIST AND HIS GIFT BY A PRAYER OF FAITH IN HIM: “But have everlasting life”

A SALVATION PLAN FROM THE BOOK OF ROMANS

You can be a soul winner if you don’t know a single verse of Scripture, if you can draw a map in your Bible (or New Testament) to tell yourself where to go. All you need to do is to find Romans 9:5, and you won’t have to know a single verse of Scripture. Underline the verse. It is good to use a highlight pen to highlight each verse if you can. Beside it write 3:10. After you have read Romans 9:5, it tells you to go next. Now turn to Romans 3:10. Beside it write 3:23. Now turn to Romans 3:23. Underline that verse and beside it write 5:12. Turn to 5:12, underline it and write beside it 6:23. Underline 6:23 and beside it write 5:8. Underline and write beside it 10:9-13. This is a map you can use in sharing your faith and leading a person to Christ. Here’s how the salvation plan in Romans works:

First, you or the unsaved person should read the Scripture aloud foe each point in the plan. After the Scripture has been read, you explain the point in the plan from the Scripture to the unsaved person.

1. INTRODUCE HIM OR HER TO WHO JESUS IS. Jesus is Lord or God-Romans9:5 At this point in the plan, to further introduce Christ, give a brief personal testimony as to what Christ means to you and what He has done in your life.

2. SHOW HIM OR HER THEIR NEED FOR CHRIST BECAUSE OF SIN. Turn to Romans 3:10 and 3:23.

3. SHOW HIM OR HER WHAT SIN WILL COST THEM. Turn to Romans 5:12 and 6:23

4. SHOW HIM OR HER THAT JESUS PAID THE PRICE. Turn to Romans 5:8

5. BRING HIM OR HER TO THE PLACE OF PRAYING TO RECEIVE AND CONFESSING JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOR
