Sam Walton: Walmart Stores Inc.
Sam Walton was founder and chairman of Walmart Stores Inc,. Sam Walton was born on March 29, 1918 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. He was the first son of Thomas Gibson Walton and Nancy Lee. Walton's father was a farmer. In 1923, his father determined farming did not provide enough money to raise a family and later decided entered farm mortgaging. The family moved frequently during Sam’s early childhood.
Sam Walton was a good student and a good athlete. While studying in the eighth grade, he became the youngest Eagle Scout in Missouri history. He also excelled at football during his high school years. In 1936, he graduating from David H. Hickman High School in Columbia.
After elevated school, he attends a higher education at the University of Missouri
