Experiencing different cultures is one of my fondest dreams ever since I was a child. I strongly believe that it is a great way to better understand other nations’ way of life which will eventually be of help to my growth as a student and as a human being. Living in a country wherein every single thing is a total stranger to me would be a challenge well-welcomed, considering the reward that lies ahead. In my point of view, being part of the foreign exchange student program will hone my strengths more and improve my weaknesses because of my exposure to a new environment which contains a number of different perspectives and personalities. As a nutrition student, it will give me a more diverse set of ideas regarding how my course is being taught in two different universities. Thus, participating in this program will further develop my sense of responsibility, maturity and individuality.
It is true that I will gain a number of benefits from this program. However, my purpose of going to Chon Buk National University does not solely focus on comprehensive self-development. As a representative of the country’s finest and most prestigious university, I want to contribute future improvements in the university by having keen observations and discrete comparisons between the two educational institutions.
