As the Dean of XYZ College, I have had the pleasure of knowing ABC for three years (from 2001 to 2004). He has been a tremendous student and an asset to our college. I would like to take this opportunity to recommend ABC for your MBA program.
I feel confident that he will continue to succeed in his studies. ABC is a dedicated student and thus far his grades have been exemplary. In class, he has proven to be a take-charge person who was able to successfully develop plans and implement them.
Most everyone knows of his intellectual acumen, lofty ambitions, dancing abilities, and kindness, but few know of the struggle ABC endured during his middle years of College. During the middle of First year ABC’s father had suffered an accident and was admitted to hospital. He just called me and said he would have to leave early from lectures to take care of his father during his illness. I allowed him to take the off provided that he makes up for his work. He not only took care of his father but also covered up for his studies by sitting extra with lecturers whenever possible.
You will read of ABC's grades and scores and sports abilities, of his awards and accolades; I wanted to relate this episode, as it characterizes what this remarkable young man is in handling pressure. ABC is very likeable and ambitious person. I have no doubt that he will be a serious and enthusiastic student, and someday a quite successful senior level manager or entrepreneur that you would be proud to call an alumni.
