Design a circuit and draw a circuit diagram using the proper symbols. Your circuit must contain a battery, a light bulb (if you would like to substitute another item that uses electrical power you may), a switch, an ammeter, and a resistor. After you draw your circuit, complete the questions which ask you to describe the circuit that you have created. You may hand draw the circuit and scan or fax the worksheet to submit for grading. Or you may use a…

In 1991 Jiri Kylian was asked by the Salzburg Festival to create a brand new piece for this year’s show case. He was only given one parameter that he had to follow and all other creative choices were up to him. Since the festival was dedicating this year to Mozart’s 200th anniversary of his death they wanted the piece somehow related to him. Kylian chose two of Mozart’s slow and most famous piano concertos for his twelve dancers to move to and with that “Petite Mort” was derived. His reasoning for choosing these two particular pieces of music were to show that ““This deliberate choice should not be seen as a provocation or thoughtlessness – rather as my way to acknowledge the fact that I am living and working as part of a world where nothing is sacred, where brutality and arbitrariness are commonplace.” He wanted to show one of the two meanings of the phrase petite mort; that of a small death or in its sexual context an orgasm which can really both be used in the sexual context. The six men and six women dancers all wore nude corset type tops and nude underwear taking away gender roles and putting them on the same playing field. Even though they are all dressed basically the same the movement quality says otherwise.…

One fascinating feature of understanding Asia is its interaction and relations with co-Asians and counterparts in the region. Cultural and historical influences on international decision-making often go unanalyzed because their causal impact is difficult to theorize and define yet they remain crucial for understanding of relations between states (Fox 2003:4). Historical conjunctures and experiences of states are termed core dimensions on how they managed and shaped better the social structural and system of man and its environment. Issues drawn are more on the territorial conflicts and ethnic differences within Asia and its relationship with neighboring states. This is a very common issue between first world and third world countries or developed states between developing states. The South China Sea for instance, there are numerous Asian states involved, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan. Japan has its own rift also with China, South Korea and Taiwan over the Sendaku Island and India having contention with China on the Tibet and Himalayan Range or also known as Sino-Indian border dispute. It is not enough to compare political institutions economic strengths and weaknesses and military force levels: while these considerations are obviously important they do not themselves determine how states will relate to other states in crisis situations (Fox, 2003:4). This territorial dispute of countries in Asia causes instability that…
