    1. This stories point of view is limited third person, meaning that the narrator knows everything about one character but dose not know everything about the other characters. I think the affect of the point of view used in “Roselily” allows the reader to understand the main character better. It also allows the reader to understand Roselily’s circumstances because the reader sees into her past and is able to comprehend all that she’s been through. If another point of view would be used I think that the story would lose its edge because most of the story is the character reflecting on Roselily’s past, this would not be as straight to the point as reading what’s going through her mind. An example of this can be shown through these lines” instantly she is ashamed and frightened in her superstition,” (Walker266). If another point of view was used there would be a lot of I’s and I feel’s which in my opinion would take away from the object of the story.…

AR 670-1)Personal appearance demonstrates pride and discipline as a soldier. This profession has been recognized for that image and therefore comes with high expectations to maintain this professional appearance the military has built. You may not know it but each and every one of us are an ambassador for the United States military. As a whole we are judged not only on our performances but on how we carry ourselfs. In the military there is no tolerance for personal expression. As a whole we are one and the uniform is simply an act of discipline itself. It is something as small as personal appearance in which builds the pride and discipline of our military troops. It is vital to remain well groomed at all times. Cleanliness is a just a part of a soldiers appearance. Personal appearance also reflects on the standards the army expects out of their soldiers. For example, weight must be under control and in order to perform duties you need to remain physically fit. It is our responsibility as soldiers to be aware and knowledgeable of these standards. Maintaining this appearance is an act of values put forth by the army. You wouldn't think so but by staying true to your profession is an act of loyalty. It is how you represent the army and yourself in which shows your respect to both. By you consistently maintaining a acceptable image also displays the pride you have for yourself and the military. It is about taking the time out of your day in order to show the dedication and readiness to work. It is personal appearance which displays your first impression of the day as you arrive. If you look unhealthy or un-groomed accordingly it may look as if he/she is unable or unwilling to perform the duties he is assigned to. A soldier that is cleanly shaved and fit to the standards portrays a soldier that takes pride in his profession and more importantly the military itself. Taking pride in ones uniform is done not only in the military but in the civilian world as well. Uniform…

Traditional bed bathing allows nurses to spend time with their patients, provide adequate skin care with lotions and good hygiene making patients feel better and clean. This type of bath is time- consuming for nurses. The increase in patient acuity and nurse- patient ratio has put many time constraints on nurses today. The place of the traditional soap and water bath in routine patient care is changing; and the use of anti-bacterial wipes provides effective hygiene when used together with emollients for skin care.…

The article in which I selected focuses on scrubs clothing worn by nurses working in the healthcare environment. The study was conducted to see if certain clothing textures such as traditional cotton-polyester scrubs, silver-alloy embedded fibers, or a combination of embedded antibacterial materials showed a favorable difference over another when it came to being repellent against germs. Scrubs are worn to serve many purposes such as identify staff, easy accessibility, help easily identify containments if spilled on them but, most importantly they are thought to be cleaner than personal clothing due to the simple fact of high heat tempatures in which they can be washed. After running test on different scrubs and materials what was realized…
