Chapter 1
Introduction to the Study

This chapter consists of five parts: (1) Background and Theoretical Framework of the Study, (2) Statement of the Problem and the Hypothesis, (3) Significance of the Study, (4) Definition of Terms, and (5) Delimitation of the Study. Part One, Background and Theoretical Framework of the Study, deals with the importance of the study and the reasons for the choice of the problem. Part Two, Statement of the Problem and the Hypothesis, states the main and specific problems answered by the research and presents the hypothesis tested. Part Three, Significance of the Study, discusses the benefits that may be derived from the results of the study, and the people who would benefit from them. Part Four, Definition of Terms, gives the conceptual and the operational definitions of the important terms in the study. Part Five, Delimitation of the Study, specifies the scope and the coverage of the investigation.
Background and Theoretical Framework of the Study

Students today are much updated in almost all activities. At their young age, they are exposed to vast realities that can help them grow into a well-developed individual.
Rizal said that “the youth is the hope of the nation;” thus, the youth must be molded into productive individuals in order to be competitive and can adapt easily to the fast changing world.
Students, as young adults, have wider range of curiosity. Through teachings and experiences, they get interested on things they discover and the things they wanted to do. With that, they tend to be more perceptive and participative in activities which they think could make them more knowledgeable and at the same time, enjoy with their peers.
High school is an institution which provides secondary education to students after the six years of elementary. It is where students
