INTERIOR DESIGN THESIS FORMAT

A. PRELIMINARY PAGES

i. TITLE PAGE –
Includes the thesis title and the standard thesis format.

ii. APPROVAL SHEET –
Includes the signature of the Thesis Adviser and the College Dean specifying that the student has partially fulfilled the requirements leading to the course.

iii. JURORS’ APPROVAL SHEET – Includes the signatures of the panel of jurors denoting their approval of the thesis work.

iv. DEDICATION
Contains the student’s personal inscription, to his family, relatives or friends.

v. ACKNOWLEDGMENT PAGE
Includes expression of gratitude to one’s mentors, peers and other individuals who have given assistance in completing the thesis.

vi. THESIS ABSTRACT
Composed of short paragraphs explaining briefly but concisely the summary and content of the thesis.

vii. TABLE OF CONTENTS
Contains the reader’s guide to the thesis with corresponding page numbers

viii. LIST OF TABLES

ix. LIST OF IMAGES

B. THESIS PROPER

CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION
Consists of a brief history and rationale explaining the background of the study including statements that support the student’s choice of topic. Pagination starts here.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Contains at least two (2) statements articulating the problem or the need which prompted the student to work on the study.

OBJECTIVE(S) OF THE STUDY
States the purpose of the study.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
Conveys the relevance and the responsiveness of the study in connection with the needs of the society.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
Articulation of tentative conceptual scheme for the research problem which is usually presented in a diagram.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION
States the area or the parameters covered by the study.

METHODOLOGY
Describes the research methods and techniques to be used by the student to complete the study and the data analyses scheme .

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND WORK
Collates all
