I believe there are more similar than different. There are both have same Concepts in their armor codes of honor and views of death. The armor of the Samurais and Knights had some differences, but, had similar concepts of armor. For example, their armor sets had Heavy protection. Samurais armors were conducted out of iron scales interlaced leather cords, and silk. They had four parts to their armor, but no protection on the right on right arm. Knights had tiny metal links interlaced and Full plates of metal. Another example, is that the Samurais and Knights had similar weapons they use swords and Bows. Samurais and Knights have similar weapons, they both use swords and Bows typically in war and knights use longbows, Crossroads, and swords, Samurais used Bows and swords. When you look at the armor and weapon aspect of Samurais and Knights, you will find more similarities than differences. They both used the same weapons and armor, even though they didn't live near each other. For Example Every type of warrior had some kind of rules or code. Samurais and Knights have a similar code. Japanese and the European feudal system were very similar even though they lived many miles away, and different time periods. For example, Samurais and knights were about the same social level and power. Samurais are the “4th out of 6 the highest in the feudal scale” (DOC A ), and knights are the “ 5th highest out of 7 classes the highest in the feudal scale” (DOC A) . Another examples that, they both owed military service to the Lords or Daimyo. Samurais give military services to Damyos, for land or regular payment. Knights belonged to the Lords,”they can gain loyalty, land, and trust” (DOC A). With the two reasons and facts I have stated, their are more similarities than

The first way that samurais have an advantage is by their armor. In document D written by Terry Bennett it says “ A knight’s armor could weigh 40 to 60 pounds.” This made it harder for the to be able to move around in. The weight would slow the knights down. This gave the samurai’s an advantage to be able to hurt the enemies way faster. Another piece of evidence that supports the claim is in Document D written by Terry Bennett it says how the samurai’s did not wear armor on their right arm so that they could easily draw their bow. This helped them out because if someone was coming at him unexpectedly they would have the time to draw their bow. Since they didn’t have armor on their right arm they would be able to draw it faster and attack back. Therefore, others may think it is an disadvantage but it is not due to how quickly the samurai would be able to pull out the bow and defend their self. This would be one out of so many reasons why the samurai would beat the knights in a battle.…

Imagine yourself as a Samurai, you are in the middle of defeating the European knights who are covered in plated armor. You begin to worry but then, you win, these are the reasons why a Samurai is better than a knight. Feudalism in Europe and Japan were both very similar. They both has rulers, and they both had rulers who hired nobles, and they both had nobles who hired landowners, and they both had landowners who hired warriors to protect the slaves and their land. If samurai and knights were to have fought against each other the samurai would have won because, they had movable armor and it was easier for them to dodge anything that a knight would slowly lunge at them with. If a Samurai and knights battled the knights would have fallen because, their armor was very defective. A knight's armor wasn’t made for easy movement, this made it more difficult for them to fight, but overall they were well protected(Document B). Their armor did defend them but, a Knight’s armor could easily be penetrated by a soldier…
