DISNEYLAND Miss Sarah L. Hood received an email from Crystal Rogers, a transplant coordinator with U.S.S.F Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Services on June 30 which states that after a few final test, Miss Hood can officially donate her kidney to her brother.
The surgery will take place at the University of California San Francisco medical center.
There will be four small microscopic incisions around the chosen Kidney.
To remove the kidney they will take it out through the naval.

The doctors are waiting to see if he gets worse before he gets better, in the meantime Hood is doing everything she can in the donation process. The first phase involved a lot of basic testing to ensure good health and a survey. The second phase was all the way out in California, which involved more strenuous testing such as a CT and a stress test. Now she is only waiting a letter to receive what she needs for the final 24 hour test. “I am more scared of not qualifying,” said Hood. “It’s all about me, I’m dependent on him even though were across the country from each other.”
The recovery process is four to six weeks, with no lifting over 10 lbs. and no driving for four weeks. “We’re going to Disney land once this is all done.; just no tea cups.” Hood said.
