EXPERIMENT 5
Objective:
To study the relationship between pressure and temperature of vaporization of water.
Apparatus:
1. Stopwatch

Procedures:
Picture 3 :general start up and shut down procedure
1. The general start up was followed. (picture 3)
2. Make sure the entire valves were closed.
3. After that main switch is on and following by turning on the heater.
4. The fluid’s behavior in the boiler was observed through the sight glass by intervals approximately 2 minutes.
5. After the time reached 7 minutes, read the Pressure,P1 and Temperature T1 and observe the fluid behavior.
6. The procedure 4 is continuously until the Pressure reached 7bar.
7. When the pressure reached 7bar, open 1/2 of the V2 valve.
8. After 30 seconds, close the V2 valve.
9. After 5 minutes, read Pressure and Temperature.
10. Step 8 and step 9 was repeated 4 times which the time taken up to 20 minutes.
11. The V2 valve was open until the pressure reached 1.0bar.
12. Close the valve.
13. All the data was tabulated.
14. After complete the experiment, leave up the calorimeter valve with open and switch off the heater.After complete the experiment, leave up the calorimeter valve with open and switch off the heater.
