Save the Earth
Save Earth, Save Life...Stop Global Warming
The group of young and and socially concerned citizens have got together to begin the mission of saving earth, saving Human life of generations ahead by contributing to reduce the global Warming. Global Warming is not a small or localized environmental problem. The effects and consequences could be horrific. Temperature changes, alteration in rainfall patterns , and an increased frequency of cyclonic activity are occurring and being measured around the world. As a result of ongoing climate change, the climate of India has become increasingly volatile over the past several decades. It has melted the polar ice caps, raised the level of the oceans and flooded the earth's great cities. It is destroying and changing our ecosystem on which the whole natural habitat is depended and cause many traditional inhabitants to leave their inhabitants. This may also cause extinction of species. We call it a Green Revolution. The green revolution awareness program is about to Start through a unique outdoor exploration. Mr Prashant Kothari, an energetic youth who is consultant for CSR projects , thought a lot about the current burning issue and came up with the brilliant concept of Driving The Pan India Activity, which would involve everyone who wants to contribute in saving our lives. This is going to be a biggest event in India, with nonstop journey to 150 Indian cities covering more than 20,000Km in 300 days. The awareness and measures to help save the nature will be spread in 1000 schools, 150 colleges, 150 collector offices, in societies, to mayor and news paper offices. This program is an extensive & most effective way to make people recognize the problem and realize the consequences, if not controlled in time. The crew of this program includes socially concerned, well qualified and Professionals in various roles of Driver, co-driver, Navigator and a Technician who possess the required specialized tactics /skills of

Global warming has caused the earth to get hotter, drastic change in weather patterns, increased sea levels, the death of a specific species of plant and animals whilst at the same time encouraging the overpopulation of another. The effect is a rippling one where everything in the food chain is suffering. Man has tried to combat global warming by trying to predict when or where the next natural disasters (hurricanes, storms, tsunamis, floods, droughts and others) will occur. But though at times we know and we try to put measures in place, we are still unaware of the magnitude of effect it would have on us and the environment, as well as, our predictive machines sometimes fail to give early…

The finest beaches on the Mississippi Gulf Coast are located on Ship Island and are being eroded however; erosion is the thing that initially created the beaches. There were no beaches when oceans first covered the surface of the earth millions of years ago, only rocky shores. Over millions of years these solid stones were broken down into rocks by erosion, then were broken down into pebbles, and then into gravel, and then into sand. Rivers also carried down sand and silt from the mountains and deposited it into seas around the world and oceans. I found out that most causes of beach erosion are natural and the rest is because of man made structures. Jenny Lazlo of the National Awareness of Erosion was interviewed by one of my team members and stated that “everyone likes waves but they actually contribute to the erosion of beaches. Formations of waves are caused by wind, the rotation of the earth, and deep ocean currents.” Water moves in circular paths perpendicular to the ground. Waves take sand from the depths of the ocean and deposit it on the beaches. They also carry little pebbles and stones, and smash them into each other which create sand. Living on a beach or nearby one can be extremely harmful to humans because large waves can form (are powered by storms) and break into the beach washing back down much more sand with them to the ocean. A major part of beach erosion is ocean currents. Ocean currents can make and break the shore, depending on the circumstances but in this case it erodes the shore. “Long shore and near shore currents (riptides) are the two main types of currents that shape up beaches. The creation of the near shore current is when waves hit the beach at a ninety degree angles, they are very strong, narrow, and flow perpendicular to the beach in the seaward direction. This allows them to carry away large amounts of sand.” says Adam Copeland Erosion Researcher of Cornell University. Long…

Because of the climate change, the earth is in danger. People don’t realize that the things they use or do every day are hurting the earth and living things. Nature.org says, “…one-fourth of Earth’s species will be headed for extinction by 2050 if the warming trend continues at its current rate…” Because the temperature is increasing, ice is melting. Because ice is melting, sea levels are rising. Higher temperatures don’t only melt ice but evaporates the moisture in the air. Evaporation will take away all of the land’s water leaving it as dry as a desert. With a drought now in progress, it will make it harder to find water and support agriculture.…

Firstly, global warming involves economics aspect. World economic in recently decade had great advance. Our lives are improved better. However, several industries play a key part in economic such as metallurgy, building industry, chemical industry or industries burn fossil fuel, coal, natural gas, etc are the main source of air pollution. It produces a large amount of carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide which are the main component of greenhouse gases (factor causes global warming). On the contrary, global warming also affects economic. Climate change and global warming can bring a change in gross world product; it may be plus or minus a few percent. But, even small changes in gross world product can bring about comparatively large changes in national economies. The most directly affected industry is the insurance industry. A 2004 report by the Association of British Insurers noted that changing weather increases risks for households and property by 2-4% per year and the claims for storm and flood compensations in the UK had increased twofold over the period 1998-2003, weighing against the past five years. As a…

Many scientists believe that Global warming will have a massive effect on the climate and weather on our planet. This could happen one of two ways. The first is that an increase in temperature will cause polar ice caps to melt. If the Earth 's major ice caps were to melt, sea level would be raised anywhere from 7-14 meters (Ramanathan, 4). This would result in severe flooding. For example, the entire bottom section of Florida would disappear completely. A second way Global Warming could turn is that a temperature increase will cause evaporation and clouding, which would lower the earth 's temperature and eventually result in an ice age(Ramanathan, 5). If either of these scenarios were to occur, the repercussions would be tragic to the entire planet and everything living on it.…
