Savon Mcgougan Case Study

A non-custodial interview of Savon McGougan (black, male DOB 3/17/1995 of 5112 Thackeray Drive, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28306 [phone]) conducted by Detective L. Donegain on Friday, September 1st, 2017 at approximately 11:07 a.m., in my vehicle. The interview was audio recorded and contained in the case file. The following is a summary of Savon McGougan interview.
• I was coming from my cousins house going to work and was stopped by my brother [Kashawn Mcgougan] and Shyheim White.
• They almost him my car when they were coming down the road.
• Both my brother and Shyheim White wanted me to go back to my cousin’s residence.
• Shyheim White told me he had shot Dennis Burden [aka DJ].
• I thought my brother and Shyheim White were
playing, because Dennis Burden is always playing games.
• When I got to my cousin’s residence my brother and Shyheim White were both nervous.
• Shyheim White then told me again he had shot Dennis Burden and it was an accident.
• I asked if they called the Police and both of them told me they called for help.
• I then told my brother and Shyheim White to go to the Hospital and check on Dennis Burden.
• I left from my cousin’s house and went to work.
• I called Rashion and told him what was going on with Dennis Burden.
• I also attempted to get in contact with Dennis Burden’s mother.
