Scabies is a skin condition that happens when very small insects get under the skin (infestation). This condition causes a rash and severe itchiness. Scabies can spread from person to person (it is contagious). If you become infested with scabies , it is common for others in your household to also become infested.
Symptoms usually go away in 2–4 weeks, with proper treatment. Scabies generally does not cause lasting problems.

○ Use hot water when you wash items.
○ Place items that you cannot wash into closed, airtight plastic bags for at least 3 days. The mites cannot live for more than 3 days away from human skin.
