A sharpen mower blade will cut grass cleanly. Alternatively, a dull mower blade will create an uneven and jaged edge on the grass. In addition to that, ensure that you preserve the sharpness of your blade, by mowing around stones, thick branhces and other small debris.
3)Shade
If your lawn grows in shady areas, it will benefit from a slightly higher moweing height. THis is due to the fact that longer grass blads, provide a wider surface area for photosysnthesis. In the midst of a low-light situation, this can prove to be a great benefit when it comes to growng healthy lawn within the shade.
4) Dry
Ideally you'll want to mow your lawn when the grass is dry. Even though you may not neccasilly hurt the grass by mowing it, in wet conditions, it will not yeild the best results. Addionally, wet grass blades can eventually clog the deck of your mower. Wet grass aslo has a tendccey to formutlate lumps as you mow. This in itself can lead to an eneven cut.
