complain that there is always a lot of people waiting to checkout during the final week.
3) I also heard some students complain that they couldn’t buy the textbook because of out of stock.
Reflection:
There are three different ways to write these three letters because of the different types of audiences. In the formal letter, the audience is SF State’s president. Even though I am really in a bad emotion, I have to use a respectful tone. I also choose formal words to communicate with the president. Moreover, I really want these issues to be solved, so I use my experience to tell the truth. The characteristics of the formal letter I have learned from this class, it could help me write better formal letters in the future. The tone of yelp review contains my bad emotion, and it is different from the tone in the formal letter.
Because of anonymity, it is no pressure to write some bad comments about the bookstore. My purpose is to let some students know the disadvantages of the bookstore. However, the message to a friend is a bit different from formal letter and yelp review. I can say anything to them because we know each other well. I also choose to use emojis in the message. Since she or he is my close friend, she will understand me even though I used the tone of complaint. However, if she or he is just a one of my friends, I would choose to use another tone. I will let my friend know I am not attacking her or
him.
