Background of the Study
Grading System is a web-based application that can be used to create report cards, class grade list and roll sheet attendance report. Grading system is a system where the teachers encode grades, it allows immediate access to grades, and often has user friendly features.
A grading system plays a key role in the management system of any school. As each student desires to achieve a good score for each assignment, exam, project and/or report, the whole process adds heavy workload for teachers in order to make their evaluation fair, comprehensive, and accurate. From the faculty perspective, these are necessary to avoid disagreement from students.
Grading is an exercise of professional judgment on the part of the part of the teachers. It involves the collection and evaluation on student’s achievement on performance over a specified period of time, such an every periodical or entire school year. Through this process, various types of descriptive information and measure of student’s performance are converted into grades or marks that summarize student’s accomplishment.

Statement of the Problem
The study aims to solve the following problem:
1. Late submission of grades
2. Extra works of teachers
3. Difficulty in keeping the students grade because still using on manual way, Microsoft Excel

Objectives
The study aimed to develop a grading system for primary to secondary schools (K to 12). Specifically, it aims to:
1. Study the process of computation and submission of grades by the teachers
2. Design a system that will facilitate organized a grading sheet.
3. Design a database that will facilitate data sharing between grade sheet of teachers, adviser and registrar.

Scope and Limitation

This research study attempts to develop a Grading System that may eliminate the word “manual”. Another feature is the automatic importing of final grades from the teacher’s class record and sending it in different forms, unlike the current system wherein they need to write then print everything and present everything in person. Another capability of the proposed system is storing and accessing old data. The study covers only secondary schools in the creation of the system, information will be based on the current problem and state of the school.
