Online school and public school are the two most common schools that teenagers attend. These schools both have its benefits and drawbacks. Going to school online lets you stay at home while doing all the work. It is basically home school. The benefits of online school is that an individual does not have to get dressed properly or look presentable for the other citizens. Another benefit is that the schedule for online school is flexible. This is great for a student with a very hectic schedule, has many extra-curricular and out of school activities. If a student is great with working by his or herself, online school would be a good option for the student. Teachers are easy to access with just an e-mail or phone call away. One drawback about online school is that it could affect the student's social life. Working alone at home everyday doesn't give the student a chance to make friends or socialize. Another drawback is that if a student is terrible with working alone, online school would seem very hard for them if they don't have anyone to turn to. Public School is great because a student has teachers to guide them through every step of the way. There are other people to motivate the student to be better in class. Going to public school includes experiences that a student would not have in online school. These experiences includes, school dances, sporting events, making new friends, and team work. A drawback about public school is that a student must wake up and get ready early in the morning. Students must also look presentable, dress appropriately and work in a crowded environment. Both schools are great, but if a student chooses to go to either schools, they must consider if working alone is best or having a good high school experience is worth it.
