School Elections Speech
Good Afternoon, Respected Teachers and my dear friends.
I am Suraj Thomas and I am running for school vice-captain.
I have spent all my primary years attending Gomathy and have enjoyed every moment of it. I would like to become the new school vice-captain of Gomathy to ensure that this school stays as great as it is for at least two more years that I am attending this school and many years after I leave. I would therefore also try my very best to make it even better. I also think that I would make a good school vice-captain because I will be responsible, organized, and thoughtful, enjoy helping people and a good team worker. I will stride to follow all school characteristics, Honesty, Responsibility, Consideration, Co-operation and Respect and of course follow all school rules. I will also gladly listen to everyone’s ideas and try my best to enforce them. As there are new students constantly coming to this school throughout the year I know that they can be shy and uncertain about things or simply don’t know where things are so I would gladly greet and show them around the school to ensure that they never get lost and can make plenty of friends. I will also happily be anyone’s friend, whether they are new or old to this school. Some of you may think leadership is simple, just a piece of cake and anyone can do it. But, leadership is much more and it’s much harder. As Gandhi once said: “I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.”
Leadership is not always fun, it can be hard work and you must be devoted at all times, though sometimes there are fun things that come with leadership.
I will devote myself to this job and work even harder than ever before if I am elected school vice-captain. I will also ensure that I try my best to keep my promise to make this school better and enforce all my ideas and yours. I can and will accept all the possibilities, consequences and circumstances that come with being a school

First, I am a strong leader because I have had experience over the years in leading people. Whether it be captain of my soccer team, or being in Student Council for over five years, I have always be raised as a leader which has helped me develop my skills. With my leadership skills, I have helped lead soccer camps and other community service outreaches. Secondly, my school spirit always is always a strong category for me. I always put the best effort I can into my spirit wear, even if it may be absurd. Last year, I received the most spirited Freshman in Student Council and my spirit has not stopped there. This year, I have won the spirit fashion show contests at lunch both times this year. Also, I even created the hashtag lsnspirit to show off our spirit at Lee’s Summit North. Lastly, I take pride in my dependability. This year in Student Council, I have not received a demerit for any reason. I take pride in this and I plan to continue this as in the past two years I have a positive merit status. Furthermore, my dependability is also very flexible. I am able to switch around my schedule just to make time for any Student Council obligation. Overall, due to leadership, school spirit, and dependability, I will assure you that I will be a productive member of Student…

I am writing this letter as I am keen to become a first ambassador and I wish to help the school as a community and support the school in becoming a better place for all of us. I believe that becoming a young student leader will help me give back something to the school after what the school and its staff has done for me over the past 1 years. I believe that I have the qualities required to be a young student leader because I take things seriously and I am responsible and sensible when it comes to dealing with problems. I have had experience talking to people as I have worked with children in the past in my Primary School and have had experience talking to adults in a mature way . I am a reliable student and try to act as a good role model to the younger years by being well behaved and learning to the best of my ability. I interact with lots of people in different years each day, so I feel that if I became a first ambassador I would look approachable to pupils from younger years, and I always try to have a friendly smile on my face. Alongside being a young student leader comes great responsibility which I am fully prepared to take on if you give me the chance. I care about this school and the people in it and I wish to support it by making it beneficial and influential for all of us. As a young student leader I would like to help pupils feel safe in school and to enjoy their time without any worries so that they can focus on the more important things such as learning to help secure their future. I would like them to feel as if Kingsford is a friendly place with lots of opportunities and this will help me be a part of the prefect team in year 11. I feel that I have experienced many things at Kingsford so I will be good at giving advice to younger students.…
