School Profile I decided to do my school profile on Lincoln Elementary School witch is the home of the Lincoln Leopards. The school is located at 705 California Street in Salinas, California and their phone number of the office is (831)-753-5625. Lincoln School principle is Mr. Ron Dillender they also have a leader who is Connie Rossie Rans. The school has a dress code policy where they have to wear a collard shirt and either blue or khaki pants. The school has a program for special education, which involves specific learning disabilities, speech with language impairments, and differentiated learning programs. They have a special program called STEM, which means science, technology, engineering and math that has access to the farm, computer lab, garden and greenhouse. The arts program they have only offers yearbook to the students and they also have music. Their sport for boys and girls is only kickball for both and their students clubs are boy scouts, cub scouts, foreign language club that is Spanish and girl scouts. They have their API scores online which means Academic Performance Index, the reflects year-over-year schools performance based on STAR test score results. Lincoln Elementary School API score is 803 but their change from 2012 to 2013 is -23 but the statewide rank is 6 out of 10. Their student diversity at this school is 71% Hispanic, 22% White, 1% Asian, 1% Black, and 3% other, and for teachers diversity they didn’t have information about them and they couldn’t give me an average on the phone when I called. The students who are eligible for free or reduced-price lunches is 40%. There are 25% of the students who are English language learners and 8% of the teachers there are first time teachers. The school couldn’t tell me if they required fingerprints for Hartnell student they had to talk to the superintendent which they told me to leave my phone number and they would call me back but I never received a phone call back.
