School Shootings such a big Tragedy in the
United States Today.On December 14, 2012, A
20 year old Male Adam Peter Lanza fatally shot twenty children and six adult staff members in a mass murder at the Sandy Hook Elementary school in the village of Sandy Hook in Newton, Connecticut. On my quest to look up information on this perpetrator Adam Peter Lanza - (April 22, 1992- December 14,2012) it is stated on wikipedia .com that Adam and his mother Nancy Lanza age 52, lived in sandy Hook, 5miles (8km) from the Elementary school. Adam did not have any criminal background with the police and he also attended sandy hook for a brief time back in his day, but he mostly attended St. Rose Catholic school in Newtown, and then attended Newtown High
school where its said he was an honor Student. Adam's Mother took him out of high school at the age of 16 and attended Western Connecticut State University shortly thereafter.
According to my research it was stated that when Adam got pulled out of high school his mother Home schooled Adam and earned a G.E.D. In an interview Adam Lanza's Aunt said that the reason why adam's mother pulled him out of high school was because she was Un-happy with the school districts plans for her son. Adam attended college in 2008-2009, according to teachers and students that knew Adam in high school described him as intelligent but nervous and sort of awkward student, who avoided socializing with people and was not known for having any close friends. It was said on google.com that Adam Lanza had been diagnosed with asperger syndrome and also having a personality disorder and somewhat autistic. Also adam was addicted to playing real violent games and fascinated with mass shootings, with all that said on December 14,2012 Adam Lanza murdered 20 children and 6 adult staff members in a mass murder at the Sandy Hook Elementary school in Sandy Hook in Newtown, Connecticut. Sadly before Adam left to the school to murder the people there, he shot and killed his mother Nancy at
their Newtown home as first responders arrived he committed suicide shooting himself in the head.

Another school shooting i decided to research and write about would have to be the Texas University Shooting which involved Charles Joseph Whitman (June 24, 1941 - August 1, 1966).
According to wikipedia Charles Whitman was an american engineering student and former U.S marine, who killed sixteen people and wounded thirty two others in a mass shooting rampage in an around the Tower of the university of texas in Austin on the afternoon of August 1, 1966. Three people where shot and killed inside the university tower and eleven others were murdered. Whitman was hot and killed by Austin police officer Houston McCoy Prior to the shootings at Texas university, Whitman murdered both his wife and mother in Austin. According to google Charles Joseph Whitman was born on June 24, 1941 in Lake Worth, Florida was the eldest of three sons born to Margaret E. Hodges and Charles adolphus. In an article i looked up it was said that Charles father was an admitted authoritarian who provided for his family, but demanded near perfection from all his kids and wife, his father also was known to physically and emotionally abuse his children and wife. It was said that Charles was a very intelligent student polite and well mannered brought up by a big Roman Catholic family. In 1959 Charles Whitman enlisted to the United States Marine Corps without the knowledge of his father knowing which ended up in his father trying to have his sons enlistment canceled. With that said Charles Whitman earned a
Marine Corps good conduct medal, A sharpshooters Badge and the Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal, whitman applied to the U.S Navy and Marine scholarship program trying to complete college and become commissioned officer. Charles Whitman ended up having a gambling problem in the military and got himself in trouble with the law and also got honorably discharged from the military and ended up going back to school at Texas university. With that said on August 1, 1966 Charles prepared his suicide letters and ended up murdering his wife and mother after that he went on too murder sixteen people and wounded thirty two others and ended up getting shot by a Austin police officer. It was said in Charles Whitman's suicide letters that he loved his mother but he did not want her to suffer in this world and also that he wanted all his money donated to research clinics to research lost cases like him to fined out why he committed such actions.
