Starting from the earliest inventions like the telephone to the more advance internet, from abacus to calculators to computers, and from cars to rockets and satellites. Science and Technology has a great impact on the lives of people. It has been an advantage in all sorts of field like medicine and communication. Science and Technology brought as a lot of wonders to improve the life of mankind then on the other hand, there are disadvantages of science and technology as well.
An example of an advantage in Science and Technology is in the field of medicine. Because of the advancement of medicine through the help of science, a person can live longer and can live life to the fullest in the best of health. Deadly diseases such as small pox, plague and polio have caused a large number of epidemics resulting in major loss of life. Researches and new discoveries led many scientists to find cure for this deadly diseases. Through the help of Science and Technology, millions of lives have been saved from these diseases.
Another advantage of Science and Technology is the invention of computers. Computers are a very big help to humans. Computers have become the most used technology of humankind. Through the help of computers, and with the assistance of Internet, we can have a lot of information in just a click of a mouse. Imagine a life without computers; almost everything would take a lot slower to perform and life will be less productive.
Disadvantage of Science and Technology is that it can be easily manipulated by irresponsible people. When it goes to the wrong hands, it can negatively impact the society such as increase the rate of cyber crimes, hacking and stealing personal information. Another disadvantage is that we will be too dependent on it, and when technology fails, we are helpless. Science and Technology has been responsible for pollution. Science and Technology has given us nuclear bomb that threatens our existence. But it’s not the fault of science; it’s the intention of humans to misuse this discovery of science. Science and Technology also is responsible of having over population. Because of the new advancement in the field of medicine, the life expectancy of a human will be longer.

There are many advantages and disadvantages of Science and Technology. We just don’t notice some of its advantages so with its disadvantages. Science and Technology had become a great help to humans but it depends on how people use it.
