Scientific research on animals should be banned
Currently, it is a fact that a number of scientific studies choose animals to test experimental consequences. However, whether animals should be treated as experimental subjects has sparked controversy. Experimentation on animals is a cruel way which have to cost lives, nevertheless it also plays an indispensable role in science studies. Personally, I would argue that animal experiments, at least so far, cannot be replaced completely on the road of social progression.

Clearly, all the people advocate for modes of treating animals that are more ethical and humane, but banning animal experiments altogether, in the present conditions of the development of human sciences, seems to be unlikely. Medical and physiological research is based on animal experiments. For instance, research of newly developed drugs through computer analysis is unreliable, medical effect should be tested and verified in living organisms. Obviously, animals would be the best choice to complete these experiments compare to the human race. Furthermore, the great majority of animals’ lifespan is apparently shorter than man. As a result, there are no alternatives for experimentation on animals in some research fields.

99% genes of chimpanzees is similar to human beings’ and some animals share the same basic physiology with humans. They could be a good guide to demonstrate the function or procedure of various medicines instead of humans. Moreover, not only humanity would benefit from these experiments, but animals would be the beneficiary of them. In other words, some new animal diseases can be cured by animal testing.

Granted, animals treatment as passive laboratorial resources is brutal. For example, in order to satisfy some experimental requirements, it is necessary to conduct animal vivisection without using anaesthetic which will avoid animals pain, fear and loneliness. Besides, most experiments that are done on animals are effective in themselves but invalid in humans. Having said this, however, technological innovations and advances cannot stop. To balance this kind of situation, researchers would be well-advised to alleviate the suffering and pressure of animals and minimizing the use amount of them during experimental process.

On balance, people should be clearly aware of the fact that animal experiments play a dominant role in the advancement of science. It is not realistic that scientific research on animals is strictly prohibited.

Do you want to see animals abused and killed sometimes for nothing? Animal testing is flawed and can produce very unreliable results. Around 26 million animals are used every year for scientific and commercial testing. These animals are used to determine the toxicity and effectiveness of medications before they test it on humans. Therefore animal testing should be banned.…

I am not going to argue against the point that animal research is necessary. But as the saying goes, “where there is a will, there is a way.” So maybe it is possible to find a way where we can conduct experiments without the expense of innocent animals. It may cost us a lot of money and it may even mean that finding the cure for deathly diseases will take even longer without the help of animal research. It simply begs the question, exactly how valuable are our morals are to us?…

Animal testing, is also known as animal experiments in the act of using non-human animals in research, to develop projects or scientific experiments. Statistics show that each year, there are millions of animals such as cats, dogs, mice, rats, ferret, hamsters and monkeys that experience mental and physical torture due to scientific research. Although most people agree that animal testing is horrible and cruel, there are few who this is it necessary to find new medicines. During the experiments, the animals are forced to inhale or sallow large amounts of test substances. Which are often found to be poisonous and toxic. The largest concern, is that animals are being used in experiments and not humans. Meaning that the results might or might not be useful for all the humans. Million of animals are suffering from poor conditions of living, and then to…

Experimentation on animals serves as a protective alternative to testing on human beings. Since all these new products are being “tested” it seems unlikely and unethical to “test” on human beings right? But since humans are the ones who will later benefit from these products why not have some volunteer as test subjects? Why should insentient, innocent animals be subjected to selfish human testing? It is harmful to the animal and unconscionable. They are routinely cut open, poisoned and then caged in for weeks, months or even years. Some animals are often given diseases to see whether a new drug will work or whether it has side effects. Some animals are killed by researchers in order to see the degree of damage inside their bodies. This is immoral.…

In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use is up. Some are injured and will still live the remainder of their life in captivity. The doctors will not do anything to help the animals that are in pain that happen to be the reason because of them. It is the aspect of animals testing that many view as a major negative against the practice, as it seems that the animal died in vain because no direct benefit to humans occurred. Even though animals and humans have many things in common like how we both have the same organ system, there are also many things that are different between animals and humans. Many animals cannot handle or take the same medication as humans, most the surgeries that are operated on animals are just too strong for an animal to take so they end up dying or sick for the rest of their lives. (Animal Testing…

The primary reason why animal testing should cease to exist is because it is inhumane to strip a helpless animal of its rights for the benefit of experimentation and research. "Animals have a basic moral right to respectful treatment . . .. This inherent value is not respected when animals are reduced to being mere tools in a scientific experiment.” (Lonestar) While animals cannot express themselves as humans can, they can feel, think, behave, and experience pain. Their inability to express themselves should not be taken advantage of.…

In fact, most experiments done on animals that are nothing like human beings, such as rats and mice. This undermines the dispute that these experiments are a reliable guide to human reactions. Scientifically, as well as morally, most animal experimentation is to be rejected as the reaction of a mouse to a substance is no guide to human reactions. Each species has its own unique…

Animal experimentation is not only cruel, but expensive as well. Thankfully, there are accurate, cheaper and quicker alternatives. First, there are the In vitro tests which are used to diagnose disease or health of patients using the patient's blood sample or body tissue. Another is microdosing, where humans are given low quantities of a product to test the effects on the body, without affecting the whole body system. There are also many computerized patient-drug databases, virtual drug trials, and stem cell and genetic testing methods. The United States alone spends about $16 billion dollars every year, coming from taxpayers, for animal experimentation. Just think about how much money the US could save if it abolished animal testing as a whole. The US has been in debt and in a depression for years, yet it continues to throw money down the toilet just to torture and kill animals. Animals are NOT the only way to test…

The use of animals in medical and scientific research has long been a controversial subject among the public. Some groups and organizations claim that animal testing is cruel and provides little insight to the effects of treatments on humans. However, researchers claim that animal testing can provide critical data that leads to the improvement of disease treatment in humans. Animal testing should be allowed because any means used to advance treatment of human diseases should be available to medical researchers.…
