Executive Summary
Scooter2Go is a modern, innovative company, located in Amsterdam and lead by six young entrepreneurs. It provides a cheap, environmental friendly and easy to use service for transport, as an alternative to the GVB, car and bicycles. So far the citizens of Amsterdam had to spend at least 20-30 minutes to get to the city centre by bike, were less independent if they used the local transport system which is not very reliable or spend a fortune for a ride with a taxi.
Scooter2Go provides a completely new service of transport, in a city where the bike is the main transport vehicle and parking spaces for cars in the city centre are limited. It has a unique Business model, which will appeal to younger people, living in Amsterdam. Providing Scooters, to go around town, dropping them off at several different charging stations around town and tracking the closest scooter to your position through a central website, will enable citizens of Amsterdam to be more flexible and Mobil. If you quickly want to go downtown, locate the nearest scooter, unlock it with your card and off you go. There is no way; one can get cheaper and faster to the city centre, as by the unique service provided by Scooter2Go.
Key to success
The key to success in the service of Scooter2Go, are raising fuel prices. More and more people will not be able to afford their own car anymore, nor will they be able to use a taxi to go downtown all the time. Students who have to travel from the city centre to the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, don’t have to spend as much time getting to the University by using a scooter instead of the bike and won’t be late for classes due to late trains or metros and the unreliable service of the GVB. It is the cheap and more
