Scotty Mccreery's Legacy
Legacy is your mark on history, and the legacy of Scotty McCreery is found both in his music and in his personal accomplishment. His biggest mark on history was probably his top finish in season ten of American Idol. Though his legacy is much more that that, his personality, accomplishments, and beliefs, can all be found throughout his music. His legacy is his music, it is unique from other country music, and it also had a big role in Scotty McCreery’s life path. Without music he would be an average person with a normal life. His music is what gives him his legacy.

In the case of Dred Scott, he told the court that Sanford and himself were citizens of two different states. However, the court makes it quite clear that Dred Scott is not a citizen of Missouri; and because he is not a citizen he does not have the right to sue in a federal court. Throughout the case the court gives several reasons why Dred Scott is not considered a citizen of Missouri. They use excerpts from the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence to prove that because Dred Scott is of the African race he can never become a citizen, free or not. After the court officially decided that Dred Scott is not a citizen and does not have the right to sue; because of this, the court does not have the jurisdiction to make a decision on…

This article talks about the significance and background of the Dred Scott case. In fact this actually hurt the cause of anti-slavery because now, slavery could spread into the free states. Now, the free states laws that used to create this safe haven for the fugitive slaves, now no longer have any power because the Constitution, debatably the strongest document the United States has, contradicts any law protecting slaves. This is because the United States Constitution protects all property of the individual, and slaves to the southern people in the 1850’s thought of slaves as property.…

The Man, the myth, the legend: Mike Matheny. Mike Matheny is a man who marks his word and will always be remembered far past his time. I did my novel review on New York Times Bestseller: The Matheny Manifesto, which is an autobiography that tells a young manager’s old-school views on success in sports and life. If you enjoy baseball and learning about people’s childhood experience and what brought them up to where they are today, then this book is for you. Mike Matheny is a hardworking, determined, and faithful man who makes the right choices no matter how hard it is. Although baseball is not my favorite sport, I still enjoyed this book. Matheny is someone that everyone has something to learn from him; whether it be by showing respect, being classy, or being open with views whether it be religious or importances.…

The reason N. Scott Momaday thinks the stories of his people are important is because he wants to pass them down to more people so they are not forgotten. ”I was first told these stories by my father when I was a child, I do not know how long they existed before I heard them.” That’s why I believe N.
